Ohhhh the tangled webs we weave

What will it take to make the reaction to these actions, something revolutionary?

How much longer do we go on leading these mind-numbing lives, while the giant puppeteers relentlessly yank at our strings?

Walk like, talk like, walk like... who?

Is over-the-edge a hard enough push for us to stand up and demand what's been promised all along?

FREEDOM.

I type that word and realize that freedom never existed in this place.

Freedom never exists where it is promised.

Countries, Religions.

Freedom is an empty word only used to lure in the masses.

Oh yeah yeah, you have free will AFTER you agree&comply to the terms&conditions.

We are and will continue to be pawns in this fucked-up game.

By now, I'm sure we've all forgotten what's being played.

Oh yeah, us.

Our families, our friends, our neighbors.

Played against ourselves and one another, tactfully disguising hate and discrimination as something more 'socially acceptable'.

But, who wins?

We are allowing our minds to be pumped with poison for 'the betterment' of the country...

A country built on nothing but blood.

A country where justice hides behind power and genocide creeps in past mute objections.

The betterment...?

For whom? Us as whole, or just those characters talked up on the 6 o'clock news?

Have you seen any betterment as a result in these wars against 'terrorism'?

Where are the soldiers that you call your loved ones? Have they seen any betterment as a result in these wars against 'terrorism'?

Terrorism...well isn't that just the biggest double standard you've ever heard?

We have allowed our minds to be deluded into thinking that a war fighting against something that we create on a daily basis within our own borders will bring us peace.

Peace.

Forgive me for pulling out this overly-used quote, but it deems appropriate:

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, America.

I personally have not seen anything good come from ANY government decisions.

Ohhh and yes, my friends, they fully are the government's decisions. Voting is just an ignorant ploy to make you feel a little less sheep-like.

Since 1492, we have seen nothing but hate, murder, pain, blood, greed, destruction.

You know, one day we'll be shuffling the streets in shackles [[assembled in China]], with nothing on our backs but bricks&whips [[also assembled in China]].

We'll have nobody to blame but ourselves, just like now...just like always.

Letting glorified human beings invent our gods and color in our codes of conduct for us is and always has been the sure-fire way to watch it all go up in flames.

And yet, we all just keep rolling with the punches, either blind to everything or just waiting around for someone else to come in and liberate us from these cold climates to which we've been forced to become accustomed.

So what's it going to take to make everyone wake the fuck up from their brainwashed slumber?

Take a moment and think, I mean really think: Who are you and what do you stand for?

Do you stand behind this country, behind the lies, the murder, the greed, the innocent blood under your feet?

Or do you stand for something better?

My ancestors were killed, outcast, stolen from, raped, enslaved. More than likely, yours were too. And for what? Money, land, power?

Where is that money, land and power now?

I know, it's being used to shed more blood.

So tell me, where do you stand now? Can we stand together, taller than Lady Liberty herself? Together as warriors of a nation?

Yes, Zack de la Rocha, it's time to take the power back.
