	Gerry. - February 18, 2010 Hi Harry, I think varieties of the Sumac can grow almost anywhere. Some of the drupes are used in cooking---so they may well have had them, I never saw any though lol. I put a picture of the cane in the forums, you may have seen it. regards Gerry.

this is excellentiquisic - certainly held my attention, even tho i had to read it all by myself from a screen [would much prefer your recommended mode]. best 'thing' i've read online [with 1 exception] for ages, is a self-conscious [in the good way] dostoyevskii meets kafka meets borges meets someone japanese, etc. a pleasure to read & hope you post on.
