Oh bum. I'll have that rainbow song in my head all morning now. The last time this happened I had to enter a decompression chamber. I was in there for six hours, just me and Mike Nolan from Bucks Fizz fame. Why couldn't it have been Cheryl or the other one that everyone's forgotten about? Ya know, Ms. Orange, your poem deserves far better than this. I shall swiftly depart, like a... like a skirt being ripped away from a Eurovision song contest hopeful. I hope this has helped.

	Veemem - September 5, 2008 When we first met he was a nice guy, funny popular and very generous, It all hid a darker side though that appeared when he became owner of his own business. I try not to be bitter but when it involves two beautiful children it's difficult to cope with at times. Basically he chucked his life away. Such a waste. hey perhaps I should have written about that for willie's challenge! Val x

Well Tina I have to admit feeling venomous when I wrote it, particularly the first part. It was just to get some bile out of my system and not really meant for other eyes, later that day I was listening to Neil's The Essential Neil Diamond in my conservatory just as described in the poem, so I just jotted down my thoughts. I don't know if you clicked onto the link to give the reader an idea what the piece was all about. It's still very much in my mind but I'm beginning to feel able to talk a little about the awful event. As to Neil himself I missed him at Glastonbury but caught his show on TV later that week But in 2005 My Daughter and I were lucky enough to see him at the NEC in Birmingham and he was absolutely astounding . He still has that magic. Val

The venom in this one is almost tangible, Val. And speaking of Neil Diamond as you were - one of the all-time greats, surely and he's still going strong. Saw him on TV the other day when he was at Glastonbury earlier this year.

This made a great impact on me, Carug. Beautifully written. I lost my mother to Alzheimers when she was only 63, also a dear aunt. It is probably the cruellest of diseases, but the latest research sounds promising, so we can all but hope. There, but by the grace of whatever god we believe in, go all of us.
